Flavors of Fall | Maple Pecan Waffles

Updated: May 21, 2020

Ingredients:

2 cups of all purpose flower

2/3 cup of granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce (replaces two eggs)

1 cup of almond milk

2 tablespoons maple syrup

1/2 cup of pecans

*Add a sprinkle (1 tablespoon) of cinnamon for added flavor

My mom didn’t enjoy the store bought pancake mix but you can also use vegan Bisquick original. Use applesauce and almond milk to complete the recipe on the back of the box. Check Bisquick's website for updated information as this information is subject to change.

Supplies:

Mixing Bowl

Waffle Maker

Plate to stack your waffles

Fork

Various sized measuring cups & measuring spoons

Directions:

Combine the dry ingredients for the batter in a mixing bowl and slowly add the wet ingredients of applesauce and almond milk. Add the nuts in last!

Pour the batter into a waffled maker about 3/4 of the way full. The batter will expand when you close the lid !

After the waffles have baked, remove the waffles from the molds and make a big stack of waffles on a plate. Use a fork to help remove the waffles from the molds!

Once you plate your waffles, add some extra pecans and some maple syrup. Enjoy your waffles while they are warm with some vegan butter or some sliced fruit on top.

Redi Whip makes a vegan whipped cream that you can top off your waffles with!
