Road Trip!
My boyfriend, myself and a few friends made the drive from our hometowns to Corning, NY. Our first stop was the glass blowing experience at the Corning Museum of Glass and then we drove up to Seneca Lake for the wine trail. Keep reading below to check out our full itinerary and tasting menu! See how the glass blowing turns out in the video below!
Our first stop: Corning Museum of Glass
Address: 1 Museum Way in Corning, NY
On the Museum campus
Reservation warning!
We made reservations for the glass blowing experience for $33 a person.
We each blew our own pumpkins, a very popular limited attraction. Pumpkin blowing runs from September 7- November 28th (2021). Due to COVID the setup was changed slightly. Instead of blowing into the pipe with a disposable tip there was now a foot pedal. While it would have been a neat experience to exhale into the pipe, I appreciate the precautions and it was still worth the trip! The apprentices were knowledgeable and walked you through the glass blowing process as they created your piece. Once your piece was finished the staff put the project into the anhealer overnight. You can pick up your final project the following day. Since we created our pieces at 10:40 in the morning, our pieces were ready by noon for pick up. However, if you can't pick up your piece the next day, the studio holds onto projects for 30 days or for a small fee you can have your project shipped (starting at $18).

Seneca Lake Wine Trail
Our trail was not the most efficient due to some places requiring reservations and others not requiring reservations.
Glenora Wine Cellars
Our first stop of the day. This located was recommended by my twin sister and my dad. She had been to this winery in 2018 where she had taken a great photo with a barrel. Unfortunately, when we visited on Saturday there was a wedding outside which made the barrel impossible to get to and the wedding had also booked the dining room, which was recommended by my dad for lunch since Glenora Wine Cellars offers vegan options. We had 12:00 pm reservations for the special chocolate and wine experience. I did not experience this tasting personally but listed below are the pairings offered for this tasting. My mom is a HUGE fan of the Glenora Peach Passion wine.

Three Brothers Wineries and Estates
If you had to choose one location this would be my number 1 spot. I could have spent the entire day at this location alone. Three wineries, one brewery, a slushie hut and a cafe, Three Brothers Wineries & Estates has everything you could ask for. Each winery offers a variety of choices from white to red and dry to sweet. At the brewery, there were both beer flights along with cider flights. I wouldn't recommend drinking on an empty stomach, the cafe offers filling lunch choices, including vegan and gluten free options to satisfy every guest and their dietary preferences.

Belhurst Castle
Unfortunately our time at this location was cut short. This location was recommended for the castle aesthetic and the dock outback. We did a quick tasting. I am a big fan of white wines which tend to be on the sweeter side therefore I did the white wine tasting at this location as well. Our group did the classic wine tasting where we selected five wines from the tasting menu for $10. Options range from white, red, blush, rose and sparkling wines.
