Teriyaki Bowl

This teriyaki bowl is another meal that features cauliflower rice. The great thing about the different bowl recipes is you can chose the same base and mix up the toppings by switching one or two ingredients. Many of the ingredients overlap which saves you money at the grocery store. You can make a sushi bowl, burrito bowl or a teriyaki bowl. With cauliflower rice and lots of veggies, this teriyaki bowl is a low carb meal that will not weigh you down.

This meal is detox friendly, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan friendly.

You can make this bowl as simple or as complicated as you want. You can buy fresh ingredients or a frozen bag of stir fry veggies. I keep a bag of stir fry veggies in my freezer to whip up this recipe in a pinch.

For the base of your teryiaki bowl you can choose from white rice, brown rice, quinoa and cauliflower rice. Cauliflower rice is the low carb option but quinoa and brown rice are also healthy options. Once you choose your base add on the toppings and drizzle on the sauce.

Gluten Free Soy Sauce

Most standard soy sauces contain gluten, while most tamari soy sauces are gluten-free.

The most reliable way to identify gluten-free soy sauces is by checking for a gluten-free claim on the label. Many are available at your local grocery store in the ethnic section.

Additionally, coconut aminos are a popular, naturally gluten-free alternative to soy sauce that can provide a punch of savory flavor.

Coconut aminos are similar in color and consistency to light soy sauce, making it an easy substitute in recipes.

It’s soy-, wheat- and gluten-free, making it a healthier alternative to soy sauce for those with certain allergies or food sensitivities.

Try the Coconut Aminos by Coconut Secret.

Coconut aminos can be hard to find, but not impossible. Check your local Target or buy online from Thrive Market or Amazon
